Light The Way

There was a storm that came ashore

And knocked off power to the world

In the dark no one can see

And people everywhere are in need

There came a man who was the light

A beacon shining in the night

He lights the way by his name

Now we are bearers of the flame

In the dark no one can see

And the people are all in need

We shine the light of his word

Until the power is restored

On the coast for all to see

The shambles of humanity

Some reach out and help rebuild

While others lie, loot and steal

We can see the wretched cost

Evidence that man is lost

Hold the flame and draw some near

But know that heaven is not here

In the dark no one can see

So many people are in need

The world is dark but rest assured

That the world will be restored
