Burdens of an overactive mind

My body aches. The highway winds.

Burdens of an overactive mind

Dying flowers beside the higway

A life was lost on the spot where they lay

I briefly go back to 1997

Remembering a girl thats now in heaven

But that was long ago and far behind

Burdens of an overactive mind
Outside the window of my apartment

Was a pool where my days were spent

It was torn down, and now is a field

At least a hundred memories were killed

I hate that my memory is so bad

Can’t recall the good times I had

I could relive them, If I could rewind

Burdens of an overactive mind
Some of of the things from my past

The unimportant things seem to last

The passcode is three three four zero

For a machine that I used fifteen years ago

I cannot remember the number for my phone

Sometimes I get lost while I am driving home

I get lost in thoughts of every kind

Burdens of an overactive mind
